Forest cover change

For an area and two dates, the record maps forest cover at the start, where it was lost, and where it grew back. A yearly trajectory from Landsat sits beside it, so a change can be set against the area’s longer history.

For forestry and EUDR teams, and for insurers and lenders holding forest or land assets. At portfolio scale it runs per asset under portfolio monitoring.

  1. 01

Optical and radar are read together by default. Radar keeps the record going under cloud, and the report says which instrument carried each date.

  2. 02

In the tropics the JRC Tropical Moist Forest record is the baseline, so a change is read against the area’s own history.
